General

I use high-quality PLA/PLA+ filaments that are durable, lightweight, and suitable for home objects. They are biodegradable under industrial composting conditions. Some instruments may include other components (e.g. clock movement, etc.) that are manufactured by third parties. These will be specified in the item listings.

All items in the shop are made using FDM 3D printing, which naturally produces small variations from piece to piece. While every print is monitored, refined, and finished by hand, you may notice:

  • Light layer lines from the printing process
  • Minor surface variations where supports were removed
  • Tiny marks from sanding, trimming, or heat-finishing

These are not defects but part of the instrument's character and the process that allows small-batch, independently-designed objects to exist. Each piece goes through multiple rounds of checks, cleaning, and finishing before it’s listed, and only prints that meet my quality standards are shipped. If you prefer a factory-perfect finish, 3D-printed pieces may not be the right fit - but if you appreciate objects with visible craft, process, and individuality, you’ll enjoy owning one.

Because the pieces are made from 3D-printed PLA, they’re durable but still require gentle care. Proper care helps your instrument maintain its colour, form, and finish for years.

Some tips:

  • Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight or high heat
  • Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
  • Avoid chemical cleaners, alcohol wipes, or abrasive scrubbing tools.
  • If dust builds up, use a microfiber cloth or a soft brush to clean. 

 

Product-specific Care Instructions:

TROPOS: 

  • When adjusting dates, always turn the knobs downwards. Turning them upwards may stress the internal mechanism.

  • Avoid forcing the knobs if they feel stuck - give the flaps a gentle tap and try again.

  • Keep away from high heat (e.g., direct sun on a window ledge) as prolonged exposure may warp 3D-printed parts.

STRATOS:

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the case. Avoid alcohol wipes - they may cause micro-marks on the surface.

  • When removing or inserting the AA battery, open the back cover gently to protect the alignment of the clock module.

  • Keep the clock away from moisture and direct heat sources.

Order

Order has not arrived: I'm sorry your order is taking longer than expected. Once your item is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number by email. We use NinjaVan for shipping. Please check its status first - sometimes parcels get delayed due to courier processing. If your parcel hasn’t moved for more than 3 working days, or appears lost, contact me at oblivionobjects@gmail.com with your order number and I'll investigate as soon as possible.

Order arrived damaged: Please note that only shipping damages within Singapore are covered. Please include a clear photograph, highlighting the quality issue or the damaged area of the item, in your email to me at oblivionobjects@gmail.com, within 7 days of receiving your order. After assessment of the damage, a replacement will be sent within 14 days. Due to the made-to-order nature of the instruments, replacement pieces will require a lead time just as do new orders.

Shipping

Before shipping: The instruments are made to order, hence it can take 4-7 days to be produced before they are shipped.

After shipping: Orders within Singapore will usually take 1-3 days. Orders outside Singapore can take anywhere from 1.5 weeks to 1.5 months, depending on the location. 

Returns are only accepted for damaged instruments. For change-of-mind returns, I currently do not accept returns.  

Returns: Returns are only possible for local (Singapore) orders (except for seconds or anything marked "final sale/clearance") if you get in touch within 7 days of receiving your order. The item(s) must be in their original condition with all original packaging intact. Once the items are received and assessed to be in original condition, your refund will be processed. Returns are not possible for International orders.

Refunds: Refunds will not be offered for items more than 7 days after delivery date. Please note that shipping costs are also non-refundable.

All items are designed and made in Singapore, and shipped from Singapore.

Only STRATOS and IONOS ship internationally, to selected countries. TROPOS' dimensions means that it will not be economical to ship it as a Small Packet via SingaporePost. Available countries are listed at Checkout. Regretfully, currently not shipping to EU countries due to GPSR Regulations in place since December 2024, as well as the United States due to tariff-related regulations in place since August 2025.  International shipping will be through SingaporePost's Registered Mail service. 

For orders within Singapore: I use NinjaVan for deliveries. You will receive a tracking number once the item is marked as Shipped.

For orders outside Singapore: I use SingaporePost's Registered Mail service. You may track your orders here.

Depending on your country’s import regulations, you may be required to pay customs duties, VAT/GST, or handling fees when your order arrives. These charges are set by your local customs authority and are not included in the product price or shipping fees at checkout.

Because every country has different thresholds and rules, I’m unable to estimate these costs in advance. If you’re unsure, it’s best to check with your local customs office before placing an order.
